Logitech Wave

By Brad Pransky, Editor,

I'm in love with a keyboard. Is that wrong? Possibly, but it doesn't make me a bad person.

As someone who spends a lot of his time typing, my hands, fingers and wrists often have some choice comments to make regarding my work habits. Sure I've heard the standard complaints: "How do you expect me to work on this flat surface?!", "Wrists weren't made to function this way!", and of course my personal favorite, "You're working my fingers to the bone!!".

Well fear not fair digits, Logitech has sent the Wave™  to the rescue!

So what makes me so enamoured of a keyboard? Simply put, they just got it right!

The Logitech Wave™ is appropriately named for its non-traditional shape. The keyboard surface is curved to match the natural typing postion your hands assume when you place them on the keyboard. They have coupled a soft, integrated wrist rest along with the arced layout of the keys to make typing a truly pleasurable experience.wave_keyboard1.jpg

Now if that isn't enough reason to use the keyboard, they also give you some great one-touch controls that give you single button access to features in Windows Vista™, tunes, Media Center functions, document or program flipping and more. Programmable F-keys are also available for the control freak who needs everything 'just so'.

Speaking of 'just so', did I mention the 3-way tilt legs that let you angle the keyboard to just the right position for your 'hunt and peck' needs?

I've been typing for more years than I care to think about and this is the first keyboard that makes that bit of daily tedium a pleasure. Simply put, the only thing that stops this keyboard from having a 5 star rating is that it doesn't do the typing itself. I can't rate it any better than that!
